Michigan women beat Indiana 67-58

(ANN ARBOR) - The University of Michigan women's basketball team held Indiana without a field goal over the final 4:13 and went on an 11-1 run to end the contest en route to a 67-58 win over Indiana on Thursday at the Crisler Center. The victory marked Michigan's fifth straight win. Akienreh Johnson gave the Lady Wolverines the lead for good with 2:46 remaining in the game. Johnson led the way for the Maize and Blue, going for 16 points and seven rebounds. Hallie Thome recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds, putting her one point shy of the 2,000-point mark. Munger chipped in 11 points and sophomore Deja Church had 10 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 30 minutes. Michigan outrebounded the Hoosiers, 36-29, and led by as many as 10 in the contest. Michigan is now 17-9 and 8-6 in the Big Tenn. Indiana falls to 17-9, 6-8 in the conference.
