Sturgis baseball wins and ties against Allegan

(STURGIS) – The Sturgis baseball team won a game and tied a game against visiting Allegan in Wolverine Conference play. The Trojans won game one 12-2 and then had the second game called after 7 innings due to darkness with the score tied 5-5. In the first game, Kendall Buscher got the win, going 4 innings while allowing 3 hits and striking out 8. Bryce Trail got the start in game two, striking out 11 in 5 innings and allowing 2 hits. Rylee Cain had 4 hits on the day with an RBI. Lane Kimes had 3 hits as Sturgis is now 14-14-1 overall and 10-7-1 in the conference.
