(PLAINWELL) - The Sturgis wrestling team went 1-1 at the Plainwell Quad, beating Otsego 46-30 and then losing to host Plainwell 51-21. Going 2-0 on the night were Easton Barkby (132), Dechlan Fieberkorn (144) and Jacob Lewis (150). Going 1-1 were Tony Nieves (106), Cooper Barkby (120), Jayden Luna (126), Juan Pablo Soto (165) and Alex Valdez (175). Two of the Sturgis varsity girls got wins, Giovanna Cruz and Lashmy Garcia. Sturgis is no 15-2 on the season.
