(STURGIS) - The Sturgis girls basketball team knocked off visiting Plainwell 48-33 in a Wolverine Conference contest. Coach Andy Phillips says his team stifled Plainwell with their pressure defense and earned points off turnovers. Cora Phillips led the Lady Trojans with 24 points. Angela Cary had 8 points while Kinder Smith had 5 points. Sturgis improves to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the Wolverine Conference.
