(STURGIS) - The Sturgis girls basketball team edged host Paw Paw 50-46 in Wolverine Conference play. Coach Andy Phillips says his team's defense was able to get stops and rebounds late to secure the victory. Sydney Bir led the Lady Trojans with 14 points. Angela Cary had 9 points and Cora Phillips added 7 points. Sturgis improves to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the Wolverine Conference. The JV girls won their game 48-42.
