(COLDWATER) - The Coldwater Country Conference & Visitors Bureau (CCCVB) announced a leadership transition that honors the past while looking confidently to the future.

After 25 years of dedicated service, Debra Prater will retire, with Stephanie Burdick appointed as the new Executive Director.

The CCCVB is a nonprofit destination marketing organization supporting local businesses, funded by assessment taxes from Branch County hotel visitors. Under Prater's leadership, the bureau saw visitor growth, expanded funding, and brand development for Coldwater Country. During her remarkable tenure as a locality specialist, she helped shape tourism in Branch County and the surrounding communities.

Stepping into the role is Coldwater native Stephanie Burdick, who brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, business operations, logistics, and community engagement. Most recently, Burdick served as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Coldwater and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU), overseeing marketing and engagement efforts for all City departments, including the Rec Center, public safety, and CBPU.

Previously, Burdick served as Operations Director at Tibbits Opera House and was a small business owner in Union City, giving her a deep understanding of both destination marketing and local business needs.

To support a smooth transition, Prater will remain involved in an advisory capacity beginning April 6, when Burdick will begin her new role.
