(Palm Beach, FL) - President Donald Trump issued a sharp criticism Saturday after Indiana Senate leaders announced they will not meet this year to vote on congressional redistricting. In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticized Senate President Rod Bray, State Senator Greg Goode, and Indiana Governor Mike Braun, accusing them of blocking an opportunity to secure additional Republican seats in Congress. "Because of these two politically correct type 'gentlemen,' and a few others, they could be depriving Republicans of a majority in the House, A VERY BIG DEAL!" Trump wrote. He also expressed frustration with Gov. Braun, saying, "Considering the Mike wouldn't be Governor without me (Not even close!), is disappointing!" Trump went on to warn that any Republican who opposes the redistricting effort "should be PRIMARIED." Trump's full post accuses Bray, Goode, and others of refusing to support a redistricting plan he says could give Republicans two additional seats. He also argues that Democratic-led states have taken aggressive redistricting measures and urges Indiana lawmakers to "DO THEIR JOB" or face being voted out of office. The statement comes after months of pressure from Trump and his allies to redraw Indiana's congressional map ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Vice President JD Vance visited the state twice -- in August and October -- to push for redistricting, and Trump directly addressed Senate Republicans in a phone call last month. Lawmakers have until December 13 to take action during the special session called by Gov. Braun.
