Tibbits' 2026 'Popcorn Theatre' returns for its 39th season with family-friendly shows to fill Friday & Saturday mornings, including 3 plays brought to life by Tibbits' professional Summer Theatre company members and 'Cirque Amongus' and immersive experience in circus arts! Here is this year's schedule at the historic Tibbits Opera House:
June 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, & 27th
"Elephant & Piggie's 'We are In Play!'"
A musical experience taken direct from the pages of Mo Willem's beloved, award-winning, best-selling children's books.
July 10th & 11th
"Cirque Amongus"
This immersive circus experience offers hands-on programs designed to build self-esteem, develop motor skills and promote teamwork. Kids will be introduced to the fundamentals of circus arts - juggling, movement and balancing - in a safe, fun-filled and educational environment.
July 17th, 18th, 24th, & 25th
"Balloonacy"
Everything changes for a solitary old man when a red balloon drifts through his window, bringing some serious silliness with it.
July 31st, August 1st, 7th, & 8th
"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"
A charming classic about faith, courage and the love of freedom.
Tickets for all Popcorn Theatre shows are $10 each and include complimentary popcorn and juice. Children ages 2 and under get in FREE but must have a comp ticket reserved by calling the Tibbits box office at 517-278-6029. Discounts for groups and families of five or more are also available.
