(WAYLAND) - The Three Rivers softball team went 2-0 and won the Wayland Tournament, beating Jenison 12-0 in 5 innings and then scored 6 runs in the seventh inning to beat host Wayland 11-10 in the championship game. In the Jenison game, Gia Newburry and Ellie Ruesink combined for the shutout and allow just 3 hits. At the plate, Ashlynn Barnes had 6 hits and 4 RBI for the Lady Wildcats. London Hoffmaster and Dani Glass each had 3 RBI while Newburry had 2 RBI. Three Rivers improves to 15-4 on the season.
