(UNDATED) - Electric services are out around portions of Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana following Thursday night's storms.

Consumers Energy is reporting that 2,827 of their customers in St. Joseph County are without electricity. The majority of the outages are around the Sturgis area. In Branch County, Consumers says 2,445 customers do not have electric service. Most of those outages are around Bronson.

Indiana Michigan Power says 1,649 of their customers do not have electric service due to the storms.

LaGrange County REMC says they have 2,520 customers as of this morning without power.

NIPSCO representatives are reporting that 2,406 of their customers in LaGrange County are without power, along with 2,816 customers in Steuben County.

Crews are working to restore power to their respective customers. It's hoped that most everyone will be restored by later today, but it could be as late as Saturday.
