(STURGIS) - The City of Sturgis is close to having electric service restored to all of their customers following the June 11 storms.

Sturgis City Manager Andrew Kuk says as of Monday night, there are 175 customers that are still without power. He says crews continue to make good progress on restorations, with more work to be done.

In addition Kuk says other cleanup work is also continuing, which includes removing downed trees and fixing power lines. If you see a power line down please stay back at least 25 feet. Additionally power lines may be in some downed trees so be careful.

Kuk says thank you to the community for their patience as City crews and their partners continue to work to restore services throughout the community.
