(STURGIS) - The City of Sturgis has their budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
Wednesday night the Sturgis City Commission was presented the budget by Interim City Manager Doug Terry.
Terry says this is a responsible budget for Sturgis. He says last year the City had to go into their fund balance for almost $500,000. In the 2026-2027 budget, Terry says Sturgis will also have to tap into their fund balance but for only $341,000. (LISTEN ABOVE)
The budget is projecting revenues for 2026-2027 at $68,023,300 and expenditures of $68,731,707.
Terry thanked City Controller Sadie Griffin and former City Manager Andrew Kuk for all of their work in putting the budget together.
The Commissioners unanimously approved the budget as presented.
