(COLDWATER) - Charges have been filed against a suspect in a mobile home fire and a vehicle theft.
Branch County District Court online records say that 21 year old Dallas Gump of Bronson is charged with felony counts of second degree arson along with second degree home invasion and unlawful driving away a motor vehicle.
On September 26, first responders were called to a mobile home fire on Hollow Road. An investigation determined the fire had been intentionally set after the mobile home had been broken into. Several items including a home security system were stolen, as was the owner's red pick up.
Investigators determined that Gump was a person of interest in the incident. He was later found in Kentucky, driving the stolen truck and with the missing items inside.
Gump was arrested and then extradited to Michigan.
Court documents say Gump's bond is set at $100,000. He is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing December 23 and a preliminary examination on December 30.
