(MENDON) - The Sturgis girls basketball team beat Galesburg-Augusta 47-26 in opening round action of the Mendon Holiday Tournament. Angela Cary led the way with 22 points for the Lady Trojans. Kinder Smith had 9 points and Cora Phillips added 8 points. Sturgis will play host Mendon in Tuesday's Championship game. Sturgis JV girls beat Galesburg-Augusta 46-17.
