Maple Syrup Days Happing This Weekend

(LAGRANGE) – If you’ve always wanted to know how maple syrup is made, this is the weekend to find out.

The LaGrange County Parks Department is hosting the 2024 Maple Syrup Days at the Maple Wood Nature Center today and tomorrow. Naturalist and Event Planner Dan Schelinski says in addition to free tours of the Sugar Shack, there will be a pancake breakfast served until 1:30 PM each day. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 10. There will also be free horse drawn wagon rides until 2 PM each day, courtesy of the DeKalb County Horseman’s Association. There will also be free shows from the Roz Puppets until 2 PM Saturday and Sunday.
