(MIDDLEBURY TOWNSHIP) – A man was injured when the moped he was riding on was struck by a vehicle.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office says that at 3:20 PM Saturday, a 32 year old Goshen man was riding his moped west on County Road 18, west of County Road 35 and was slowing down to try and turn left. A vehicle behind the moped, driven by a 19 year old Middlebury man, started to pass the moped and struck it.
The moped driver suffered broken ribs, shoulder and pelvis, and was taken to an area hospital.
