No. 3 Mendon falls to No. 1 Unionville-Sebewaing 6-5
(EAST LANSING) – For the second straight year, Mendon met Unionville-Sebewaing in the MHSAA Softball Tournament. And for the second straight year, USA beat Mendon, this year in the Division 4 Semifinals, as the No. 1 ranked Lady Patriots beat the No. 3 Lady Hornets 6-5. Jadyn Samson led the way for Mendon, going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. ...... {LISTEN}. Cienna Nightingale was also 3 for 4 with an RBI. Rowan Allen took the loss in the circle, going 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 6 runs with 6 strikeouts. Mendon ends their season at 38-5. Unionville-Sebewaing is now 30-11 and will take on No. 5 Holton in the Division 4 State Finals. Holton beat No. 7 Hillman 8-0 in their semifinal game.
