Mendon beats host Athens 54-32 in boys basketball
(ATHENS) – The Mendon boys basketball team beat host Athens 54-32 in SCAA play. Coach Matt Gorham says his Hornets played sloppy and couldn’t find the bottom of the basket, but they rebounded well and forced Athens into turnovers. James Lux led Mendon with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Ryder Gorham added 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals while Owen Gorham had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Mendon is now 7-7 and 5-5 in the SCAA.
