(NAPPANEE) – An Elkhart County man has been arrested on alleged charges of possession of child pornography.
A tip was received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. That led to a nearly year long investigation by detectives with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. On August 10, Indiana State Police and the Nappanee Police Department served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of South Williams Street in Nappanee.
Following the search, officers arrested 20 year old Esteban Perez of Nappanee and transported him to the Elkhart County Jail on five Level 5 felony charges of possession of child pornography and five Level 6 felony charges of possession of child pornography.
The incident remains under investigation.
