(QUINCY) – Michigan State Police are investigating a fraud complaint that happened in Branch County.
Troopers say a business in the 900 block of Chicago Road in Quincy was contacted by individuals claiming to represent a Kalamazoo radio station and were requesting payment to promote the business on air. The callers said the promotion was for Veterans Day, then said it would air in December not November which raised suspicion.
Authorities say they have contacted the radio station, and no information was given to the callers.
