(LANSING) – A Three Rivers man will remain behind bars.
The Michigan Court Of Appeals has declared that the conviction and prison sentence of between 17 and 60 years for Lee Parker Jr. will not be altered. Parker was found guilty in August 2021 of assault with intent to commit murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Parker was arrested in April 2020 on the charges after shooting 17 year old Grace Hussey in the head at River Trail Apartments in Three Rivers.
Parker asked for a new trial in June 2024. He and his attorney claimed that another individual told police she had shot Hussey. However that individual testified that it wasn’t true, and that they were in Lawton at the time of the shooting.
