(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana lawmakers will return to the state capitol early instead of gathering for a special session. Last week, Indiana Governor Mike Braun asked legislators to return to Indy to consider voter redistricting and state tax compliance issues. On Monday, Indiana House Speaker Todd Huston announced the General Assembly will convene on December 1, and work during the first two weeks of December. The state legislature usually returns to work in January. According to Huston, the December plan will cost less and save tax payers money compared to the costs associated with a special legislative session. You can read more about the upcoming session in the Indiana Capitol Chronicle .
