(CENTREVILLE) – The Glen Oaks Community College Foundation has a new Executive Director.
Andrew Wingard has been hired as the new Executive Director, and officially began his new duties on October 20. He will lead the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and donor engagement to support student scholarships and campus initiatives.
Wingard brings more than eight years of experience in higher education advancement, including donor stewardship, student development, and athletic programming. Most recently, he served as a development officer at James Madison University, where he managed major gift portfolios and supported programs in scholarships, leadership and student life.
Prior to his work at James Madison University, Wingard held leadership roles at Delta Collage in Michigan where he served as Director of Athletics and Student-Athlete Development. He also worked at Youngstown State University as a Development Officer and adjunct faculty member.
In his new role at Glen Oaks, Wingard will oversee all Foundation operations, including fundraising campaigns, scholarships and capital projects. He will collaborate closely with the Foundation Board, college leadership and community stakeholders to advance the college’s mission through philanthropic giving.
Wingard says he is honored to join Glen Oaks and lead the Foundation at such a pivotal time. He says he looks forward to working with the generous donors and partners to create new opportunities for students and strengthen the college’s role in the community.
