(SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP) – Three people were injured over the weekend in a one vehicle crash.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says his deputies were called out at 12:31 PM Sunday to Silver Creek Township. Their investigation showed that 49 year old Daniel French of Dowagiac was driving east on M-62, when a vehicle heading north on Indian Lake Road failed to yield the right of way. French swerved to miss a collision and struck an embankment.

Also in the vehicle were 12 year old Emily French, and 11 year old Lucas French. All three were taken by SMCAS Ambulance to Niles Lakeland Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

All of the French’s were wearing their safety belts.

Assisting deputies were the Indian Lake Fire Department and the Pokagon Tribal Police.

The crash remains under investigation.
